About This Product
■JIS C 8374 earth leakage relay compliant product
- Only the unit part of the relay is compacted and has a plug-in structure, so you can freely design combinations of output contacts such as alarm, cutoff, display, etc. Also, the mounting direction is free.
- External dimensions are the same as LU-2, LU-3, LU-3L. In addition, they are compatible, so you can use existing terminal boards.
・It is a harmonic countermeasure product.
- Environmentally friendly product (RoHS Directive compliant).
■Operation
The LU-4L series provides earth leakage protection for low-voltage distribution lines and is used in combination with a zero-phase current transformer. If a ground fault occurs in the load-side electrical circuit after the zero-phase current transformer is installed, an electromotive force will be generated at the secondary terminal of the zero-phase current transformer. After adjusting the sensitivity of this secondary output, it is amplified by an amplifier, its magnitude is determined by a level detection circuit, and then the output contact is operated by a switching circuit.
When using the LU-4L/4LF with the manual reset method, the output contact will not reset until the reset pushbutton switch provided in the control power circuit is pressed. For automatic return type models, the output contact will return to normal when the leakage is eliminated.
