■Overview of ultra-low-priced handy welding machine
PROWELD-AIR is an air-cooled handheld welding machine. A typical handy laser welding machine has the disadvantage of being heavy, weighing 150-200kg. Although PROWELD-AIR weighs only 28 kg, it performs powerful welding with a laser output of 1.2 kW.
■Big advantage of fiber laser welding
A fiber laser is a laser oscillator that can emit high-power light from a thread-like glass wire. By focusing this narrow beam onto the processing point, it is possible to obtain a very small laser spot at the processing point. This allows localized overheating.
By operating this small spot using a galvano scanner, it is possible to control the temperature distribution within the molten metal during welding, making it possible to achieve higher quality welding. Another major appeal of fiber lasers is that the welding speed is fast, and heat input to the workpiece and deformation of the workpiece are less likely to occur. Compared to TIG, it does not require much skill from the operator, and anyone can easily weld.
