The SS39ET/SS49E/SS59ET series of low-cost linear Hall effect sensor ICs are small, versatile devices that operate with magnetic fields from permanent magnets or electromagnets. The linear source output voltage is set by the supply voltage and varies proportionally to the magnetic field strength. Low voltage capability (down to 2.7 Vdc) and low current consumption of 6 mA (5 Vdc typical) provide high energy efficiency.
The output of the integrated circuit is low noise, eliminating the need for external filters. It also incorporates a thin film resistor for increased temperature stability and accuracy. These products can interface with many electrical components without buffering, and their thermally balanced integrated circuits provide stable operation over the entire temperature range.
These products are designed and manufactured to be cost competitive. All packages are supplied on tape, allowing for automated low-cost assembly. The SS39ET occupies less space on the printed circuit board, allowing more components to be mounted on the board than usual.
