■Product overview
SS340RT/SS440R sensor ICs are small, versatile digital Hall effect devices that operate in the magnetic field of permanent magnets or electromagnets. They are designed to accommodate a single pole. North pole (SS340RT) or south pole (SS440R).
■These unipolar Hall ICs provide three different magnetic susceptibilities to meet a wide range of applications.
-SS341RT and SS441R offer the highest sensitivity with a typical operating point of 75 G at 25 °C [77 °F].
SS343RT and SS443R offer medium sensitivity with a typical operating point of 135 G at 25 °C [77 °F].
SS349RT and SS449R offer the lowest sensitivity with a typical operating point of 305 G at 25 °C [77 °F].
■These sensors are available in two package styles:
・SS340RT: Miniature SOT-23 surface mount package
・SS440R: Flat TO-92 style package with leads.
The SS340RT's compact size occupies less space on the PCB and can be used in small assemblies. Its 3 Vdc capacity allows it to be used in low voltage applications, increasing energy efficiency. SS340RT is available in tape and reel (3,000 units per reel). SS440R is available in bulk packaging (1,000 units per bag).
