The SS351AT, SS451A, and SS551AT sensors are small, versatile, digital Hall effect devices that operate in the magnetic fields of permanent magnets or electromagnets. Designed to support polarity switching between N and S poles.
These omnipolar sensors are sensitive and flexible devices designed for a wide range of applications. The SS351AT, SS451A, and SS551AT have a typical operating point of 85 G at 25°C [77°F]. Since this series of products responds to both N and S polarities, there is no need to specify the polarity of the magnet, making installation easier and reducing system costs.
These sensors are available in three packaging styles: The SS351AT is available in a subminiature SOT-23 surface mount package. The SS451A is available in a leaded, flat TO-92 style package, and the SS551AT is available in a SOT-89B surface mount package. The SS351AT's compact size occupies less space on the PCB and can be used in small assemblies. Its 3 Vdc capacity allows it to be used in low voltage applications, increasing energy efficiency.
SS351AT is available in tape and reel formats (3,000 units per reel). SS451A is available in bulk packaging (1,000 units per bag) and SS551AT is available in tape and reel (1,000 units per reel).
