The cost-effective SR16 series sensors are designed for fitness equipment and information technology applications. Ideal for use in moderate electrical, chemical, and mechanical environments. SR16 series sensors include an internal magnet and Hall effect sensor implemented in a twin tower configuration. In the application, a customer-supplied iron target passes between the tower gaps, interrupting the magnetic field and switching the sensor's digital state. These rugged, solid-state Hall-effect sensors are housed within an environmentally shielded plastic package. Hall-effect sensors provide high accuracy and repeatability in environments with dirt, dust, or even infrared light that can affect the performance of optical solutions. This sensor package is manufactured from rugged polyphthalamide material and is mechanically interchangeable with standard optical sensors.
