■Product overview
Honeywell's NanoPower series magnetoresistive (MR) sensor ICs are ultrasensitive devices designed for a wide range of applications requiring large air gaps, small magnetic fields, and low power consumption.
The sensor IC responds to either north or south poles applied parallel to the sensor. There is no need to specify magnet polarity, simplifying installation and reducing system costs. They use very low average current consumption and push-pull outputs that do not require pull-up resistors. The sensor IC is also energy efficient as it operates with a supply voltage as low as 1.65 V.
■The Nanopower series supports two types of magnetic susceptibility and can be used in a variety of applications.
SM351LT: For applications requiring extremely high magnetic sensitivity (7G typical operation, 11G maximum operation) and very low current consumption (360 nA typical).
SM353LT: For applications requiring extremely high magnetic sensitivity (14G typical operation, 20G maximum operation) and very low current consumption (310 nA typical).
These magnetoresistive sensor ICs, the Nanopower series, are available in subminiature SOT-23 surface mount packages on automation pick-and-place compatible tape-and-reel (3,000 units/reel).
