■Product overview
The VF401 is a miniature, flat, TO-92 style, high performance, digital, 2-wire MR (magnetoresistive) sensor with current output in a plastic package designed to sense fine pitch ring magnets.
The unique VF401 Bridge Array (Patent No. 6,297,628) is tuned to reduce sensor signal and accuracy loss and increase the air gap between target and sensor.
The VF401 is resistant to runout (shift of sensor position relative to the inner or outer diameter of the ring magnet). It is also resistant to inclination tolerances (deviations from parallel positioning of the sensing element and ring magnet), up to 10° compared to 2° to 3° for conventional ring magnet sensors, and torsion (a bridge for polar transitions). It also exhibits high tolerance for deviations in the runner's perfect angular position.
