About This Product
■VG481V1
Back bias speed sensor IC, zero speed compatible, low cost and easy to use, compliant with AEC-Q100 (Grade 0)
■Product overview
The VG481V1 is equipped with a dual peak detection circuit coupled with a Hall effect element to detect the speed of the ferrous gear tooth target wheel. The bias magnet provides a changing magnetic field when the target wheel passes the sensor IC. The sensor IC functions depending on the peak and slot magnetic levels.
The output of the sensor IC is either high or low, depending on the target tooth/slot function. The VG481V1 IC consists of a voltage regulator, clock/oscillator, Hall element, amplifier, internal peak/valley track-and-hold circuit, comparator, and open collector output stage.
The sensor IC is protected from abnormal operation at low voltages by a power-on shutdown circuit. The output circuit includes short circuit protection. The voltage regulator includes reverse connection protection. The slice level is derived from the stored peak and valley values.
The startup algorithm holds the output state until the slice level reaches a stable position. .
The VG481V1 IC is available in a flat TO-92 style package. The included straight lead wires are packaged in bulk, allowing for a more compact PC board layout.
■Differentiation
The fluctuation of the operating point is reduced.
■Value for customers
-Uses a dual peak detection circuit calculated from stored peak and valley values. This provides zero-speed capability to more accurately track targets that exhibit fluctuations such as runout.
-AEC-Q100 qualified and often suitable for automotive applications.
・Provides higher accuracy.
