About This Product
■Model 3719
Bolt and engine mount force sensor Compact and high output Unaffected by bolt and nut tightening torque.
■Product overview
The bolt axial force sensor is another unique transducer that is basically a hollow compression strain gauge load cell. Designed for use with most strain gauge indicators. The bolt force sensor consists of a 3-piece assembly: 1. Large hardened/ground flat washer with bevel on one side; 2. Sensor; 3. Small hardened/ground washer. The three parts are assembled for various applications.
A large washer separates the sensor from the force application tool. The diagonal hole in this washer is always oriented away from the sensor and provides clearance for the bolt head radius. A torque wrench allows you to generate a torque vs. tightening force curve. The 3719 Bolt Axial Force Sensor is designed for use in fastener testing where a tensile load on the fastener induces a compressive load on the sensor. Bolt axial force sensors must be used with fasteners of the designed size.
