About This Product

Laser diode controller with low noise and highly stable temperature control function. You can intuitively operate with the button arrangement of the front panel with good operability. It can also be used for control of Peltier cooler for laser. ■ Principles and mechanisms The laser diode (LD) is also called a semiconductor laser, and can output light with wavelengths and phases. In principle, light is repeatedly reflected in two mirrors, amplifies the wavelength of light and oscillates as a laser. LEDs using the same mechanism are released as they are without amplifying light. The basic structure of the laser diode is that light is generated in the active layer when a voltage is applied to the active layer (light emitting layer) with two clad layers sandwiched. The generated light is trapped in the active layer and is amplified while round trip between the reflector at both ends and oscillates as a laser light. The laser diode controller is a device that controls current to this laser diode and light output control. It also has a variety of interfaces, including Ethernet, and can be connected to PCs and various devices. ■ Main applications and markets ・ Laser diodes are used in a wide range of fields, such as excitation lighting of semiconductor encouraging laser, reading disk data, and optical fiber communication. ・ Laser diode controllers are mainly used for control and testing of these devices. ・ Cons technology handles three models, LDC500, LDC501, and LDC502.
