About This Product
TU-8400 has the "active auto bias function" inherited from TU-8200R and two power modes, HIGH and LOW. In HIGH mode, 6L6 series, KT66, KT88, KT90, EL34 (6CA7) , 5881, 6550, etc. Furthermore, the heater winding of the power transformer has plenty of room, so it is also possible to use KT120, KT150, and KT170. You can also use 6V6 and 6F6 by switching to LOW mode. *Vacuum tubes are not included in the kit.
Although this power amplifier is intended to be used in conjunction with a preamplifier, INPUT-2 on the front has a built-in preamplifier using an operational amplifier, so you can also directly connect mobile devices with low output levels.
■Can be switched to 3 types of wiring methods
By replacing jumpers on the board, it is possible to change to ultra-linear, triode, or pentode connections.
■Equipped with headphone terminal
Depending on the sensitivity of the headphones, the output level can be switched to three levels by replacing jumpers on the board.
■Can be replaced with a large coupling capacitor
・The coupling capacitor can be replaced with a larger capacitor according to your preference.
・Maximum: 20mm diameter x 36mm length, capacitance 0.1μF, please use 400V or more.
