About This Product
■Scope of application
- This product is designed for use in building management (e.g. distributed control of lighting, heating, air conditioning, ventilation, energy management, blinds, time management, locking systems, etc.).
- Cable laying can be carried out above or below plaster; in pipes, cable ducts; against dry or humid environments.
- EIB mainly consists of sensors/command transmitters (light barriers, switches, thermostats, infrared rays, anemometers, timers, etc.) and actuators (engines, heaters, ventilators, lights, blinds, etc.).
KNX technology was built by merging three established European bus standards: EIP, EHS (Home Appliances and Consumer Electronics) and Batibus (Heat/Ventilation/Air Conditioning).
■Features
・Serial data communication.
- The EIB cable has been tested at 4kV (1 minute) in an aquarium.
■Configuration
- Shielded MSR installation cable, type J-Y (ST) base, according to DIN VDE0815.
・UNITRONIC® BUS EIB bare copper wire, solid, 2 x 2 x 0.8: red and black, white and yellow, core insulation: PVC plastic laminate foil, outer sheath: PVC, green (RAL6017).
・UNITRONIC® BUS EIB COMBI bare copper wire, solid, core insulation: PVC2 x 2 x 0.8: red and blue, white and yellow, 3 x 1.5: brown, blue, green/yellow, plastic laminated foil outer sheath: PVC, green (RAL6017).
