About This Product
There are several types of sterilization methods. Tokushu Tokai Paper's sterilized paper comes in grades suitable for various sterilization methods such as EOG sterilization, autoclave sterilization, and gamma ray sterilization.
・EOG sterilization: EOG sterilization is a method of sterilizing microorganisms using ethylene oxide gas. EOG sterilization has a high sterilization effect on materials with high gas permeability, and can be used for all plastic containers because it can be sterilized at low temperatures.
・Autoclave sterilization: Autoclave sterilization, also called high-pressure steam sterilization, is a method of sterilizing microorganisms using "high pressure" and "steam" as the name suggests. It can be processed in a relatively short time and sterilization costs are low. Must be able to withstand heat, steam, and high pressure.
・Gamma ray sterilization: Gamma ray sterilization is a method of sterilization by irradiating gamma rays, a type of electromagnetic waves and radiation. It is often used for disposable instruments (such as needles) because it is cheaper than other sterilization methods and does not cause major damage to the material.
Features
■Safe and clean.
Sterility tests are conducted at the Tokyo Metropolitan Sanitation Laboratory to confirm that no bacteria has entered the product after one month of sterilization. In addition, the paper is made using specialized equipment with a high degree of cleanliness, and foreign matter and defects are thoroughly controlled during the papermaking process.
■Strength (peelability) and heat sealing that does not produce paper dust.
Sterile paper is broadly divided into bag-shaped types that are made of paper alone, and combination types that use paper and transparent film. Recently, combination types that allow you to check the contents have become mainstream.
■ Allows steam and gas to pass through, but does not allow bacteria to pass through.
To sterilize the contents of a sealed package, gas or steam is passed through sterilizing paper. As air permeability (a measure of how easily air passes through paper) increases, air permeability decreases, making it difficult for gas/steam to displace inside the sterilization bag.
With our sterile paper, the air permeability is appropriately controlled, so gas/steam replacement is not a problem, and it can withstand sudden changes in pressure, reducing the risk of the bag tearing.
■Excellent printability
Recently, there has been a demand for small, precise printing on packaging materials used in medical settings, and it is essential that the paper be suitable for printing clearly. Printability generally improves with smoother surfaces.
