■ Overview / features [PEV_7912] PCI Express to VME64X BRIDGE PEV_7912 is a 6U VME64X PCI Express-VME bridge board that has an extended function and fully complies with the latest PCI-SIG "PCI Express external cable specification". Expans the on -board PCI Express bus infrastructure and can use both copper and optical fiber standard cables to cross the VME crate boundary. The purpose is to enhance the VME64 data acquisition, control, and test system, and is realized by deleting computing nodes from the crate and maintaining most I/O modules. It has its own AlTHEA 7910 solution, and the PCI Express-VME64X bridge implemented in the XILINX Artix-7 FPGA offers a very competitive COTS in terms of cost, performance and power consumption. A proven solution in this field uses the Slot_1 System Controller function to support all master/slave VME64X operating mode. The burst length is the largest VME64X data transfer 2EVME mode and 2ESST mode. The long -term availability of the board is guaranteed because it does not depend on the third party VME interface that has already been abolished.
