Overview
KONI is a private-owned manufacturer of automobile products such as hydraulic shock absorbers, adjustable shocks, performance shocks, hydraulic dampers, and systems for street trucks, racing cars, buses, recreational vehicles, and rail rolling stock , among others.
The company was established in 1857 by Arie de Koning in Oud Beijerland, the Netherlands, first producing leather products for horses. The name “KONI” was first adopted in 1928, with the company first manufacturing friction type shock absorbers and adjustable shocks. Over the years, KONI has partnered with other manufacturers to create Original Equipment (O.E.) to improve vehicle driving safety and experiences.
