The company also makes flexible printed circuits (FPC), office automation equipment, and functional membranes, serving industries such as automobile, construction machinery, and electronic equipment.
In 1960, the company expanded its production by constructing plants in Kumamoto, Fujisawa, and Shizuoka, and it was listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange in 1961. In 1979, it was the first to set up a production base in the US before any Japanese automaker.
