Valmet Inc., established in the 1750s, is a global developer and supplier of process technologies, automation, and services for the pulp, paper, and energy industries.
The company has been an industrial operator but was held by the State of Finland and was given new life with the demerger of the pulp, paper, and power firms from Metso Corporation in December 2013. Valmet provides bioenergy plants and paper mills with technologies. Valmet employs around 17,000 people and operates in over 40 countries. Its corporate headquarters are in Espoo, and the company is traded on the Nasdaq Helsinki.
