Overview
MSA Safety, founded in 1914, is a manufacturer and supplier of safety products such as self-contained breathing apparatus, flame detection systems, fall protection devices, and fire & rescue helmets that protect users from potentially dangerous or life-threatening situations while working in the oil, gas, and petrochemical industries, the fire service, mining, construction, and military.
Cranberry Township, Pa., is the company's headquarters north of Pittsburgh, and it has manufacturing plants in the United States, Asia, Europe, and Latin America. MSA generates approximately half of its sales outside North America, with over 40 international sites.
