■Product overview
The AE sensor detects the AE signal that occurs at the moment tool breakage (chipping) occurs during cutting. You can check the waveform at the time of damage on the monitor screen.
■What is AE sensor?
AE is an acronym for Acoustic Emission, and its physical meaning is the acoustic radiation energy released when solid objects (tools) deform or break. The frequency is widely distributed from several KHz to several MHz.
This device performs high frequency analysis and waveform processing of 350KHz or higher to generate the detection signal. It is highly reliable and is not affected by machine vibration.

・It is possible to highly reliably detect the point at which damage such as chipping or cracking occurs in tools during turning/cutting processes, rolling/heading processes, drilling processes using drills, etc., and the waveform at the time of damage can be viewed on the waveform monitor screen.
