About This Product

■Device overview A long-distance laser distance sensor that combines distance measurement accuracy and responsiveness. World-class distance measurement accuracy of ±0.8mm for long distance use. It can measure 250 times per second, making it ideal for measuring moving objects. ■Features - Can measure distances of 100m with high precision without contact. (Can measure up to approximately 500m when using a special reflective sheet) ・Visible light lasers allow you to visually confirm the position of the measurement point, making installation and adjustment easy, and the measurement reliability is excellent. - By switching the measurement mode (response speed), you can use the sensor characteristics that suit your distance measurement purpose. There are three measurement modes (distance measurement accuracy): 250Hz measurement mode (±1.5mm), 20Hz measurement mode (±1mm), and 10Hz measurement mode (±0.8mm). ・Since the sensor connection terminal outputs digital (RS-232C, RS-422) and analog (4-20mA), it can be easily connected to any device such as a PC, PLC (sequencer), or panel meter that can read analog values. You can build a system. - Easy maintenance, just cleaning the light receiving and light emitting lenses, reduces running costs. - Dust-proof and splash-proof (IP65), so you can use it safely even when installed outdoors. - Operating temperature range -40℃ to +60℃ due to built-in heater. It can also be used in harsh locations where the ambient temperature is low or high. ・A low-cost type (LDS-8HL) whose digital ranging accuracy is inferior to LDS-8H is also available. ■Application ・Measurement of roll diameter and slump amount during winding ・Workpiece identification and position measurement on the production line ・Measurement of movement when ships are berthed ・Measurement from helicopter to ground ・Position measurement and collision prevention of cranes, trolleys, robots, etc. ・Level measurement and remaining amount management in tanks, silos, and hoppers ・Dimension measurement and quality control of heavy and long products (steel, wood, stone, etc.) ・Identification and position measurement of workpieces on the production line ・Measurement of diameter and amount of sludge when winding rolls (paper, steel plates, colored films, etc.) and control of winding speed ・Position measurement and collision prevention of moving objects (cranes, trolleys, robots, etc.) ・Product shape measurement installed on a robot arm ・Dimension control and displacement monitoring during structure assembly (internal displacement measurement of tunnels, shafts, etc.) ■Others ・If no measurement mode is specified, 20Hz measurement mode will be the factory setting. ・The standard setting distance for 4-20mA is 0m to 20m, but it can be shipped with a specified setting span (measurement span). ・Digital single measurement distance measurement accuracy in each measurement mode is ±1mm (2σ), ±0.5mm (1σ), For LDS-8HL...±3mm (2σ), ±1.5mm (1σ) ・The response time (measuring time) of each measurement mode varies depending on the color of the object to be measured and the distance to the object. ■Optional items, peripheral equipment ・Reflective sheet (600mm×1,200mm) ・Protective case ・Dedicated recorder (DR32-1)
