About This Product
■Device overview
One of the few long-distance laser distance sensors in the world. Although it is small and lightweight, it achieves world-class ranging accuracy of ±1mm. Fast response and can measure 10 times per second. Thanks to its reliability and track record, the LDS series has sold over 11,000 units.
■Features
- Can measure distances of 50m with high precision without contact. (Up to approximately 150m when using a special reflective sheet)
・Visible light laser allows you to visually confirm the position of the measurement point, so the reliability of measurement is outstanding.
・Even in narrow spaces such as gaps and piping, as long as the laser spot reaches you, you can perform pin-spot measurements without interfering with structures.
- There are three sensor models available with different external outputs: RS-232C output type, RS-422 output type, and 4-20mA output type. A system can be constructed by connecting to a PC, PLC (sequencer), analog value reading device (panel meter, data logger), etc.
・The measurement distance does not deviate even after years of use, so there is no need to readjust it, reducing running costs.

・Position measurement and collision prevention of moving objects (cranes, trolleys, robots, etc.)

■Others
・LDS-8A-2's 4-20mA setting distance is standard 0m to 20m, but it can be changed to the specified full scale.
- The distance measurement accuracy of LDS-8A-2 requires addition of analog output conversion accuracy (±0.15% of full scale).
・Response time (measurement time) varies depending on the color of the object to be measured and the distance to the object.
