About This Product
Carbolite Gero's metal HTK series of high temperature furnaces consists of metal heaters made of molybdenum or tungsten. The metal HTK series comes in four sizes. Smaller HTKs with capacities of 8 liters and 25 liters are typically used in research and development laboratories. 80 liter and 120 liter large furnaces are mainly used for pilot production systems and large-scale production. The front door of these furnaces facilitates loading and unloading.
Tungsten (HTK W) or molybdenum (HTK MO) are used in the metal furnaces to ensure the highest purity of the inert atmosphere and final vacuum. High vacuum upgrades are available upon request. The most commonly used gases are nitrogen, argon, hydrogen and their mixtures.
The HTK series uses heating elements and insulation made of tungsten (HTK W) or molybdenum (HTK MO). Retorts can be utilized to direct gas flow, especially for degreasing applications or to improve temperature uniformity. The maximum temperature of HTK W is 2,200℃, and the maximum temperature of HTK MO is 1,600℃.
