About This Product
The Cyclone Mill Twister is a sample preparation mill for near-infrared analysis of food and feed. The crushed sample is discharged into an integrated cyclone using a jet stream generated by an impeller and automatically collected into a wide-mouthed bottle. Due to the jet airflow generated within the grinding chamber, there is extremely little heat generation during grinding, reducing water loss in the sample.
The screen determines the grinding particle size, eliminating the need for frequent adjustments to the analyzer. The rotation speed of the impeller can be adjusted in three stages, allowing for optimal pulverization according to the sample. Cleaning is extremely easy as the jet stream prevents samples from accumulating in the grinding chamber. ■Function
Grinding in the Cyclone Mill Twister is performed by the impact force and grinding force produced by the impeller and grinding ring. The sample introduced from the hopper with a bounce prevention mechanism is first crushed by an impeller rotating at high speed, then bounced off by centrifugal force and then crushed between the impeller and the grinding ring. The two-stage grinding is instantaneous, so the sample remains in the grinding chamber for only a short time.
The large surface area of the screen allows for a high air flow rate, which prevents sample heat build-up, and an integrated cyclone provides air cooling of the sample and grinding chamber. Therefore, it can be pulverized without damaging the properties of the sample that are important for analysis. The crushed sample is separated in a cyclone and collected in a wide mouth bottle.
