■Diamond point
Among existing abrasive grains, diamond has the properties of being the hardest and resistant to wear, helping to shorten machining time and improve surface finish accuracy. Since carbonization begins at approximately 600℃, we recommend that you work while cooling it. It is said to be unsuitable for processing ferrous materials because it causes chemical reactions with cobalt, nickel, etc.

■CBN points
CBN (Porazon) is an abrasive grain with a hardness second only to diamond, and is thermally stable up to approximately 1,400°C, so it has a long tool life and can be used in harsher conditions than diamond. It is chemically stable and does not easily react with iron, so it is widely used for cutting and polishing soft and hard steels.
