About This Product
Instron's ETMT8800 electrothermomechanical tester is an ideal system for testing a variety of metals and other conductive materials. It is used in a wide range of industries, from the metal manufacturing and metal processing industry to modern engineering enterprises, such as the aerospace industry. This product has been developed in collaboration with the UK's National Physical Laboratory (NPL).
By equipping this electro-thermo-mechanical testing system with the advanced 8800 digital controller and ElectroPuls testing machine, Instron has unrivaled thermal fatigue testing capabilities available in an affordable tabletop package. We have developed a solution.
Handling small specimens, the system is capable of achieving fatigue loading rates of up to 1,000 N/s and heating rates of up to 200°C/s and cooling rates of up to 100°C/s . The system is designed to handle full reverse stress loads up to 3,000N and is equipped with a direct resistance heating system capable of achieving maximum specimen temperatures of 1,500°C.
The ETMT8800 allows you to conduct a wide range of experiments that can be broadly classified into the following three types.
・Measurement of mechanical properties
・Measurement of physical properties
・Measurement of microstructural stability under thermal exposure
ETMT is an operation that allows the study of both monotonic, creep, or fatigue behavior in a single axis by applying stress and temperature either in phase or out of phase. is possible. Various analytical models have also been developed to obtain thermal property and modulus data as a function of temperature.
