About This Product
Achromatic half-wave wave plates are constructed of crystalline quartz and magnesium fluoride birefringent crystals with an air-space design. Compared to quartz zero-order half-wave plates, quartz-MgF2 achromatic wave plates offer superior retardation accuracy over a broadband wavelength range. They are less expensive than achromatic polymer film waveplates and have a higher damage threshold.
