About This Product

■Features ・Metal-dielectric hybrid coating ・Split the laser 50:50 ・Broadband, wavelength independent ・Unrelated to polarization ■Compatibility with wavelength tunable lasers Broadband nonpolarizing hybrid cube beamsplitters have moderate absorption but minimal polarization sensitivity. The broad spectral flatness of these beamsplitters makes them ideal for use with multiple light sources or tunable lasers. ■Orientation A cube beam splitter is formed by joining two right angle prisms. One of the prisms has a partially reflective metal dielectric coating applied to the hypotenuse. To minimize the power passing through the optical cement, the incident light should enter a prism with a coated hypotenuse. Alternatively, a beam incident through an uncoated prism increases the cement fluence by more than three times (two passes due to the reflected component in addition to the transmitted component). If higher power beams are used, this can lead to cement deterioration. *Other model numbers are available.
