Prima is a compact, standalone, affordable laser module with three distinct emission wavelengths that can operate in picosecond pulsed and CW modes. The picosecond pulses are triggered either by the module's internal clock or by an external oscillator up to 200MHz.
The module is fully controlled by computer, making it very easy to operate. By connecting to a PC via the USB port, all operating parameters can be changed via an easy-to-use software interface.

Many studies require more than one excitation wavelength to cover all samples. However, purchasing multiple laser heads and laser combiners can be quite expensive. We offer compact and affordable products that cover the three primary colors essential for excitation, which were developed using PicoQuant's know-how.
■Red, green, blue: emits the three most useful wavelengths
Prima emits laser light at three wavelengths: 635, 510, and 450 nm. Each color can be generated individually, one at a time. These wavelengths are the three most commonly used in materials science, chemistry, and life sciences.
They are routinely excited in spectroscopy and microscopy applications and used to study a wide range of samples, including new nanomaterials, quantum dots, molecules, and fluorophores. It covers most of your needs for everyday lab tasks such as lifetime and quantum yield measurements, photoluminescence, and fluorescence.
