■Summary
YAGEO offers complete circuit protection solutions with overvoltage protection components and overcurrent protection components. TVS, MOV, and ESD products have precise voltage clamping performance that limits voltages to acceptable levels and allows large currents to flow to ground to prevent circuit damage.
GDT, SPG, and TSS products act as circuit switches that, when turned on, conduct abnormal currents to ground. PPTCs and NTCs are similar to resistors, changing their resistance with temperature to protect circuits. YAGEO's circuit protection products are widely used in automotive, industrial, power supply, communication, household appliances and other fields.
■Product overview
PPTC (Polymer Positive Temperature Coefficient Thermistor) is also called a resettable fuse. Under normal operating conditions, the resistance value is very low and does not affect the operating circuit. The response speed of PPTC is from several tens of milliseconds to several seconds, and is proportional to the current value. YAGEO offers SMD (package size: 0603-2920) and DIP packages PPTC to suit various application requirements.
