[Joint research with Tokyo Denki University] Measuring the airtightness and ventilation airflow of single-family houses and apartment buildings with one device
■Airtightness measurement
・Since it can support both depressurization and pressurization measurements when installed indoors, it is less susceptible to the effects of wind, which is a problem when installed outdoors.
- Automatically measures, displays, and records up to 10 points between indoor and outdoor differential pressures of 10 to 50 Pa (optional). In highly airtight houses, the air volume is low because the gap area is small, but it can be measured with high accuracy up to 10m3/h.
・For airflow measurement, we use the Air Measure, a multi-hole pitot tube with a differential pressure rectification function, which is checked using a suction nozzle (JIS standard calibrated product) for each product.
-Measurement method complies with JIS A 2201. The reliability of measured values is increased by using a micro-differential pressure gauge (automatic switching detection using two-stage differential pressure range) and air measure that are suitable for the air volume to be measured.
■Ventilation air volume
- Human error does not occur because the air volume of the auxiliary fan is PID controlled so that the pressure difference between the inside and outside of the ventilation hood is 0.
- With the measurement equipment installed indoors, both supply air volume and exhaust air volume can be measured by simply replacing the flexible duct.
- Air volume can be measured with high accuracy up to 10m3/h, so it is also possible to measure air volume from natural air supply vents in living rooms.

・Air measure: Air measure with suitable diameter (verified with JIS B8330 suction nozzle)
- Low differential pressure gauge: Standard 50Pa/500Pa (with inspection report)
■Static pressure measurement
Low differential pressure gauge: Standard ±100Pa (with inspection report)

Applications/Examples of results
■Use in buildings
・Confirm whether the building standards laws are met, such as the amount of outside air intake, ventilation amount, and smoke exhaust air intake amount.
・Evaluation of airtightness (eliminating waste in heating and cooling)
■Utilization in the development stage of equipment with heat sources
・You can easily obtain the selection index for the cooling fan built into the device. (A rise in temperature inside the device will reduce performance and shorten product life.)
- Verification of whether the selected cooling fan meets the specified performance.
■Used for prototype evaluation and performance verification of heat exchangers
By generating a constant air volume, airflow conditions can be repeatedly reproduced, allowing us to explore better shapes for heat dissipation and heat absorption fins. (The performance of the heat exchanger is controlled by the shape of the fins and the airflow conditions around them.)
■Performance evaluation of equipment that generates wind
The amount of air from air purifiers, dryers, hair dryers, etc. is also an important controlling factor.
