■Operating principle
Dust particles are irradiated with a laser beam, and the scattered light (forward light scattering method) is focused and scattered by a mirror and detected via a quartz rod. By collecting the forward scattered light with the highest scattering intensity using a highly efficient condensing mirror and detecting it via a quartz rod with no transmission loss, stable detection is possible that is less susceptible to noise.
