■Infineon XENSIV™ high-precision coreless current sensor
Infineon's current sensors provide accurate and stable current measurements up to 120A or 31mT, respectively. We offer sensors with built-in current paths for low currents and sensors with external current paths for medium to high currents. These products are intended for use in high voltage applications such as 48V as well as traction inverters, industrial drives, photovoltaic inverters and battery disconnect systems.
The coreless open loop sensor uses Infineon's precise and stable Hall technology. Therefore, the output signal has high linearity with respect to temperature and life. Because there is no iron core, the sensor signal exhibits no hysteresis or saturation. Differential measurement using two Hall cells provides high accuracy even in noisy environments with crosstalk from adjacent current lines and stray magnetic fields. Designers can program the sensor's sensitivity and thresholds for two dedicated overcurrent signals to suit individual requirements without external components. It also outputs a signal when the power supply voltage becomes overvoltage or undervoltage.

Infineon's TLE4973-AE35S5-S0001 operates at 5V and provides an analog output proportional to the measured magnetic field and an overcurrent detection output. A digital control and diagnostic interface provides temperature readout, safety status readout, read/write programming access to internal EEPROM, and diagnostic mode control.
Infineon's Hall technology enables highly accurate and linear measurements. The measurement range up to ±34mT allows sensing currents up to 2kA without negative effects such as hysteresis or saturation.
