■Earth leakage fire alarm
The Fire Service Act establishes standards for earth leakage fire alarms as one of the "firefighting equipment, etc.," and their functions are strictly defined by national standards. In order to guarantee that each product passes the standards, we confirm the quality through "type evaluation" conducted by the Japan Fire Protection Certification Association, and further confirm that mass-produced commercially available products have no defects in quality through "type conformity evaluation." All products that pass the test are affixed with the national certification mark, guaranteeing quality and performance.
Electrical leakage fire alarms are regulated by Article 22 of the Fire Service Act Enforcement Order, which stipulates that they must be installed in fire prevention properties, and they are also required to maintain and manage their functions.
■Regulations
・Regardless of the structure of the building, even if it is a fireproof building, it must be installed on buildings with lath mortar walls, floors, and ceilings.
・For buildings made of lath mortar in Articles (1) to (6), (15) and (16) of the Fire Service Act Enforcement Ordinance Appended Table 1 and whose contracted current capacity exceeds 50A, fire prevention measures shall be taken depending on the area. It must be installed without any problem.
- As a general rule, current transformers should be installed on outdoor electrical circuits.
・In places where flammable steam, dust, etc. are present, a shutoff device that is linked to an electric leakage fire alarm should be installed.
There are detailed regulations such as model selection, installation location, installation work, set current value, installation completion test, maintenance inspection, installation notification/inspection report, expiration date, etc.
