The HIH-4000 series humidity sensor is especially designed for large OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) companies. The sensor's near-linear voltage output allows direct input to controllers and other devices. The HIH-4000 series has a typical current consumption of only 200 µA, making it suitable for low-drain battery-powered systems.
High sensor compatibility reduces or eliminates OEM manufacturing calibration costs. Individual sensor calibration data is also available. The HIH-4000 series provides instrumentation quality level RH (relative humidity) sensing at a competitive price and solderable SIP (Single In-Line Package).
This RH sensor is a laser-trimmed, thermoset polymer capacitive sensing element with on-chip integrated signal processing with two lead spacing configurations. The sensing element's multilayer construction provides excellent resistance to most contaminants, including humidity, dust, dirt, oil, and common environmental chemicals.
