The HIH-5030/5031 series low voltage humidity sensors can also operate on 2.7 Vdc, making them ideal for battery-powered systems using 3 Vdc power supplies. The HIH 5030/5031 complements our existing 5 Vdc SMD (Surface Mount Sensor) humidity sensor line. Tape-and-reel SMD packaging enables high-volume automated pick-and-place manufacturing and eliminates lead misalignment to printed circuit board through-holes.
The HIH-5030/5031 series humidity sensor is specifically designed for high-volume OEM (original equipment manufacturer) users. The sensor's near-linear voltage output allows direct input to controllers and other devices. The HIH-5030/5031 series has a typical current consumption of only 200 A, making it suitable for low-drain battery-powered systems.
High sensor compatibility reduces or eliminates OEM manufacturing calibration costs. The HIH-5030/5031 series is a cost-competitive solderable SMD that provides instrumentation quality RF (relative humidity) sensing performance. HIH-5030 is an integrated circuit humidity sensor with cover.
The HIH-5031 is a covered, condensation-resistant integrated circuit humidity sensor. Factory-integrated hydrophobic filter allows use in industrial, medical, and commercial applications in condensing environments. This RH sensor uses a laser-trimmed, thermoset polymer capacitive sensing element with on-chip integrated signal processing.
The sensing element's multilayer construction provides excellent resistance to most contaminants, including condensation, dust, dirt, oil, and common environmental chemicals. Please also use the sample pack.
