MICRO SWITCH LSX hazardous area switches are designed for use in hazardous environments. Its rugged housing with an integrated flame path makes it approved for use in hazardous locations and NEMA classified atmospheres. These flame passages force the internal expansive gases to cool below the ignition temperature of the external atmosphere before exiting the housing.
LSX also has tracking compatibility with MICRO SWITCH BX series hazardous location switches. Optional mounting plate provides tracking and mounting similar to standard HDLS series (Heavy Duty Limit Switches).
Most HDLS operating heads and circuit options can be used with the LSX series. Rotary actuated LSX series products are designed for use with levers that have non-igniting actuators due to potentially hazardous environments. Other styles of LSX series switches, plunger actuated and wobble actuated products, incorporate integral non-igniting actuators.
