MICRO SWITCH CX switches are specifically designed for outdoor use in hazardous environments. This series of enclosures is constructed to withstand internal explosion pressure. The exploded gas is cooled by the flame path to a temperature below the minimum safe operating temperature of the surrounding gas.
MICRO SWITCH80CX series switches are encased in a durable bronze housing designed to withstand saltwater and other aggressive environments. Meets NEMA 4X requirements for corrosion protection regulations. Compliant with NEMA enclosure standards that other CX switches comply with.
The product's O-ring seal prevents the enclosure from ingress of rain, but is outside the required flame path, thus maintaining explosion protection requirements. All basic switches have clockwise and counterclockwise operation unless specially ordered. The actuation mechanism is field adjustable for CW or CCW operation only. No tools required.
