The MICRO SWITCH BX/BX2 series is designed for applications around the world in hazardous and explosive environments where rugged, durable switches are required. To meet the requirements for explosion-proof switches, the flame passage in the switch housing is designed to retain and cool any escaping hot gases or fumes that could potentially cause an explosion outside the switch.
No matter where the equipment or machinery is designed, manufactured, or installed, BX and BX2 series products serve institutions around the world. Honeywell offers two versions of the BX series switches. The standard BX series features an aluminum housing and the BX2 series features a 316L stainless steel housing.
Stainless steel housing provides enhanced corrosion resistance in applications exposed to strong corrosives and agents commonly found in chemical processing plants, offshore/coastal sites, and other hazardous areas. Both products are weather shielded for outdoor use and designed for environments with explosive gases/dust, etc. All motion heads of the BX/BX2 series are field adjustable in 90° increments.
