About This Product
TAP NIGHT is a product that compacts the electric discharge machine into a size that can be easily carried, making it easy for anyone to remove broken taps, drills, etc. A broken tap can be removed without damaging the threads by melting the center with electrical discharge using a brass rod with a diameter half the size of the broken tap, and then removing it inward.
■Features
Compact and easy to carry. The power supply is AC100V, so you can use it anywhere. As far as metals are concerned, it can be used with cemented carbide, titanium, and tungsten, and problems that have been given up on can be solved with Tap Knight.
・Can be used for all conductive metals. (Iron, aluminum, brass, copper, casting, stainless steel, special steel, etc.) Any conductive metal can be used as the workpiece material.
-Equipped with a discharge energy selection switch. You can select according to the broken tap size (electrode diameter used).
・Tap removal size is possible from M2 to M30. The diameter of the electrode holder (chuck) is φ1 to φ6, but larger diameters can be used if the electrode is machined.
・Can be processed without damaging the thread of the tap. Since we use an electrode with half the diameter of the broken tap, it can be removed without damaging the threads.
・Can also be used for cemented carbide. It can also be used for cemented carbide such as titanium and tungsten.
・Can also be used for deep hole machining. Drills etc. that are bent at the tip of a deep hole can also be removed.
