■Summary
Piston type air motors have cylinders arranged in a star shape, with either 4 or 5 cylinders. The cylinder piston is connected to the crankshaft by a connecting rod, and the main valve directly connected to the crankshaft distributes air to each cylinder in turn to rotate the crankshaft. This crankshaft allows the bearing plate to reduce the speed and obtain the required transmission shaft rotation speed.
■Features
- Two of the 4 or 5 cylinders arranged in a star shape are always in the power stroke, and since there is no dead point in the crank, the rotational force is balanced, resulting in smooth and stable rotation with little vibration.
- Forward and reverse rotation can be easily achieved by switching the air supply port of the valve. There is no problem even if you repeat forward and reverse rotations with extreme frequency.
- Even if left in an overloaded state, it will not burn out, and as the load increases, the rotational speed will decrease, and if it becomes overloaded, it will simply stop. It will rotate again when the load decreases.
- Since it operates with compressed air, it can be used in environments where flammable and explosive gases are generated or where it may be exposed to water.
