About This Product
■Kemet's diamond abrasive material pursues precision polishing finish.
After many years of research, we offer a wide range of diamond abrasive materials (abrasives) for precision polishing, including diamond slurry containing diamonds that boasts the world's highest classification accuracy, diamond compounds, and diamond powder.
Kemet's abrasive materials can be used in combination with Kemet plates to achieve a more optimal polishing finish. Upon request, we will propose an abrasive material and polishing process tailored to your application and wishes.
■Single crystal diamond and polycrystalline diamond
Diamonds used in precision polishing diamond abrasives come in two types: single crystal (MA) and polycrystalline (PC).
■Single crystal diamond
A single crystal of diamond. In addition to natural diamonds, the majority of man-made diamonds for industrial use are single-crystal diamonds. It is a single crystal with cleavage properties.
■Polycrystalline diamond
An artificial diamond made by directly sintering graphite (graphite) at high temperature and pressure. It has no cleavage properties, is extremely wear resistant, and is used for machining and polishing difficult-to-cut, brittle, and difficult-to-machine materials. *Cleavage property: The property of being easily broken in a specific direction.
■Diamond compound
Kemet Diamond Compound classifies diamonds in-house using the world's best technology, and offers four types to suit the needs of the lapping process.
■W type diamond compound
・A water-soluble compound that can be easily cleaned after polishing.
- Ideal for precision optical and electronic component processing.
-This compound is ideal for use with a polishing cloth.
・Please use W2 as the lubricant (lubricating fluid).
