About This Product
A 140W reference board that enables ultra-high power density for USB-C chargers and adapters with Extended Power Range (EPR). The reference board REF_XDPS2221_140W1 is developed for USB-PD applications with wide input range and output voltage from 5V to 28V, with a nominal output power of 140W.
The industry's first PFC+ hybrid flyback combo controller, the XDP™ Digital Power XDPS2221, is equipped with a CoolGaN™ 600V GIT HEMT (IGLD60R190D1) as the main switch and a BSC040N10NS5 OptiMOS™ 5N channel MOSFET as the SR switch on the secondary side. A P-channel HEXFET™ power MOSFET IRF7240 is implemented as a protection switch and an EZ-PD™CCG3PA as a PD control.
The board size is 109.5mm x 38.5mm x 24mm, and the power density is 22.67W/in³. The entire system uses a 2-layer PCB to reduce system cost. This board meets efficiency requirements by DOE VI and CoC Tier2. 5V standby power is less than 75mW.
