■Summary
The VA series variable attenuator allows the intensity of an external light source entering the sphere to be changed; specifically, the variable attenuator is attached to the port frame or port frame reducer of the sphere. Labsphere offers two accessories, each consisting of a slide attenuator placed between two port frame adapters. VA-XXX-SC is a motorized attenuator operated through the MC-1000 motorized variable attenuator controller and SC6000.
