A high-performance material for aluminum parts with high strength and excellent corrosion resistance. 3D Systems offers carefully developed print parameters and certification process support for the use of APWorksScalmalloy materials in the 3D Systems DMP Flex 350 printer.
Scalmalloy is a high-strength aluminum alloy with a chemical composition optimized for laser-based powder bed fusion applications such as direct metal printing (DMP). Scalmalloy is a material that bridges the gap between traditional aluminum casting alloys (such as AlSi10Mg) and Ti Gr23, combining high specific strength (strength to weight ratio), excellent corrosion resistance, and good thermal and electrical conductivity.
