About This Product

■Product overview Certified CuCr2.4 (A) is a copper alloy that improves strength and printability while maintaining high thermal and electrical conductivity. 3D Systems offers application development and part production using 3DXpert®, an integrated additive manufacturing (AM) workflow software, and DMP Flex and DMP Factory 350 metal 3D printers. 3D Systems' certified CuCr2.4 parameters were developed, tested, and optimized in real-world applications in our AS9100/ISO9001 part production facility. What makes this facility unique is that it has printed over one million hard-to-produce metal mass-produced parts in a variety of materials over the years. For companies looking to develop new applications and processes using certified CuCr2.4, our Application Innovation Group (AIG) can support and expedite application development to meet your application needs. Heat treatment can be adjusted. ■Material description Certified CuCr2.4 is an age hardening copper alloy. It is stronger than pure copper and maintains very high electrical and thermal conductivity even at high temperatures. Adding chromium to copper improves laser absorption, optimizes thermal conductivity in the as-printed state, and facilitates powder processing. Printed parts can be annealed to increase their conductivity to meet application-specific requirements. Two heat treatments are recommended, but these can be customized as needed to balance mechanical properties and conductivity. ■Applications ・Thermal management and cooling system ・Conductive contacts ・Induction coil (if required IACS is up to 93%) ・Combustion chamber ・Structural engine parts that require high conductivity ・High conductivity applications after heat treatment (thermal or electrical conductivity up to 94% of pure copper)
