About This Product
■Ethernet interface
FL SWITCH 1924 has 24 Ethernet ports in RJ45 format. Mount it in a 19-inch rack (482 mm) with AC power. Data transmission speeds are 10Mbps, 100Mbps, and 1,000Mbps. This switch also supports jumbo frames. Every port has an auto-crossing function.
Each port has an automatic reversal function, so there is no need to distinguish between straight and crossover Ethernet cables. Includes mounting bracket and EEC (CEE 7/4) and North American (NEMA 5-15) compliant power cord. Also includes rack connection bracket screws.
FL SWITCH 1924 switching characteristics
■Store & Forward
The validity of all data telegrams received by the switch is verified. Invalid or abnormal data packets (>1522 bytes or CRC errors) and fragments (<64 bytes) are removed. Valid data telegrams are forwarded by the switch. This switch always forwards data at the communication speed used by the intended network segment.
■Multi-address function
The switch independently learns the addresses of terminal devices connected to ports by evaluating the destination addresses in data telegrams. A packet will only be forwarded to that port if it has an unknown address, is an incoming address from that port, or the outgoing address is a multi/broadcast address packet.
This switch can store up to 8,192 MAC addresses in the address table.
■QoS
IEEE 802.1P/Q: FL SWITCH 1924 switches have the ability to read Ethernet packets that have been assigned a priority level on a managed switch. When traffic is heavy, packets with priority levels 4-7 are considered higher priority and are processed before packets with priority levels 0-3 (2:1 ratio). Priority packets are forwarded without modification.
■Grounding
The metal RJ45 socket housing is grounded. Shielded RJ45 connectors and cables must be used for maximum noise immunity.
