About This Product
■Ethernet interface
The FL SWITCH 1605 M12 has 5 Ethernet ports on the front of the M12, and only CAT5/CAT6 Ethernet cables using D-coded M12 can be connected. Data transmission speed is 10 Mbps or 100 Mbps. In addition, each port has autocrossing capability at 100 Mbps. There is no need to distinguish between Ethernet 1:1 cables and crossover cables.

■Store and forward
The switch independently learns the addresses of the terminal devices connected to its ports by parsing the destination addresses in data telegrams. A packet will only be forwarded to that port if it has an unknown address, is an incoming address from that port, or the outgoing address is a multi/broadcast address packet.
The switch can store up to 4,096 addresses in the address table with an aging time of 40 seconds. This is important when two or more terminal devices are connected to one or more ports. In this way, multiple independent subnets can be connected to one switch.
■Multi-address function

■QoS (Quality of Service) switch
PROFINET traffic can be processed preferentially using the QoS function. Therefore, the switch detects the QoS priority from the Ethernet packet and forwards the Ethernet packet with a higher priority.
