About This Product

IPG offers Cr2+, Co2+, Fe2+ diffusion-doped ZnSe/Zn polycrystalline ceramic gain materials and saturable absorbers. IPG's proprietary manufacturing process allows for the widest range of iron- and chromium-doped ZnSe/ZnS crystals to be produced in high volume at low cost. Low losses, uniform distribution of transition metal dopants, and excellent reproducibility and reliability are achieved. The optical and spectral properties of these crystals make them the gain material of choice for compact and efficient laser sources operating in the 1.8-6 micron range. Chromium- and iron-doped ZnSe/S lasers are ideal for spectroscopy, detection, medical, and defense applications, as well as for seeding or pumping mid-infrared optical parametric oscillators.
